This Privacy Policy describes how Euro Scoreboard ("I", "me", or "my") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the website at euroscoreboard.com (the "Service"). Euro Scoreboard is run by a single independent developer.

Information I collect

When you join a room as a guest, I collect the display name you choose, an optional profile picture, and an anonymous identifier that lets me keep your votes associated with your session. If you register as a host, I collect your email address and password so you can sign in on future visits.

When you use the Service, I also collect information about your votes, trivia answers, and room activity so the scoreboard can be calculated correctly.

How I use your information

I use the information I collect to operate the Service — joining rooms, saving votes, calculating scoreboards, displaying trivia results, and letting hosts manage their rooms. I do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and local storage

The Service uses cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your in-progress votes across page reloads. These are necessary for the Service to function correctly.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google may also use the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users of this Service based on their visit to this and other sites on the Internet.

Third-party services

I use Supabase to store data and manage authentication, Vercel to host the application, Stripe to process payments, and Google AdSense to serve advertising. These providers process data on my behalf under their own privacy policies. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Data retention

Room activity, votes, and trivia answers are retained as long as the room exists. Host accounts and their associated data are retained until you request deletion. Anonymous guest sessions are retained as long as your browser keeps the session cookie.

Your rights

If you have a registered account, you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing euroscoreboardapp@gmail.com. Guests can clear their session data by clearing their browser's cookies and local storage.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. International data transfers

The third-party services listed above may store or process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These providers operate under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards approved under EU data protection law.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
