How Euro Scoreboard works

For the host

To get started, you create a room. Pick which stage of the contest you're watching — the first semi-final, second semi-final, or the grand final — give the room a name, and you'll get a short code that your guests can use to join.

Before you start, you can set two optional rules for your room:

• Early voting — lets guests begin ranking songs as soon as they join, even before you open voting officially. Useful for fans who already know their picks.
• Real-time voting — shows a live combined scoreboard as players rank their songs, instead of waiting until everyone is done to reveal it.

When you're ready, press Start voting and your guests can begin ranking. As players finish, you'll see their status change. Once everyone's done (or whenever you're ready), press Stop voting. The final leaderboard is revealed to everyone in the room.

For players

Joining a room takes about ten seconds. Scan the QR code your host shows, or enter the room code manually, pick a name, optionally add a profile picture, and you're in. No account or email address required.

Once voting is open, you'll see a list of all the songs in the running order. Drag and drop them into your preferred order — your top pick goes at the top, your least favorite at the bottom. If you're not sure about some songs, leave them in the "Unranked" section until you decide.

Your top ten songs earn points using the same scale as the real contest: 12 points for first, 10 for second, 8 for third, then 7 down to 1 for the rest. Everything below tenth place earns zero points but still counts as a tiebreaker if two countries end up with the same score.

When you're happy with your ranking, press Lock in. That tells the host you're done and prevents any further changes.

The scoreboard

The leaderboard combines every player's votes. Each song's total is the sum of all points awarded across the room. Ties are broken using the position each song was ranked, following the same logic the real contest uses to separate songs that share a total.

You can tap any country on the scoreboard to see who gave it points and how many. That makes it easy to spot the songs your group collectively loved versus the ones only one person picked.

Trivia (optional)

If your host added trivia questions to the room, you'll see them alongside the voting interface. Answer what you know, skip what you don't, and lock in your answers. Trivia results are revealed at the same time as the vote scoreboard, so there's no spoiling during the show.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. Guests join with just a name. Only hosts need to register an account, and that's just so I can save your hosted rooms for later.

How many people can join a room?

Free rooms support up to 3 players. Larger rooms — from 10 players up to 500 — are unlocked with a one-time 7-day pass. See the pricing page for details.

Can I change my votes after locking in?

No. Locking in is final, which is intentional — it tells the host you're done and prevents any last-minute switches while the scoreboard is being revealed.

What happens if I don't finish ranking all the songs?

That's fine. Unranked songs count as zero points. You only need to rank the songs you actually want to vote for.

Is this affiliated with Eurovision?

No. Euro Scoreboard is an independent fan-made tool. It's not affiliated with the European Broadcasting Union or any national broadcaster.
